About Irving Farm Coffee Roasters
Founded in 1996 when David Elwell and Steve Leven opened their first cafe at 52 Irving Place in Manhattan's Gramercy Park. At a time when most New Yorkers grabbed coffee from delis or diners, they specialized in 10-12 single-origin and house-blend coffees. All coffee is roasted in a converted carriage house in Millerton, upstate New York.
Sourcing & Philosophy
Direct relationships with producers worldwide. Irving Farm was a pioneer in New York's Third Wave coffee movement, building long-term sourcing partnerships across Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.
