About Nossa Familia Coffee

Founded in 2004 by Brazilian native Augusto Carneiro, who moved from Rio de Janeiro to Portland for college. His family has been growing coffee in the highlands of Brazil since the 1890s. Started with no cafe or roasting facility--just Augusto selling a container of coffee his family shipped on consignment. Pearl District roasting facility opened in 2012. Portland's first Certified B Corp coffee roaster.

Sourcing & Philosophy

Direct-trade and family-trade relationships from farms in Brazil, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, and Ethiopia. Tradition starts with founder's family coffee farms in Brazil.
