About Tandem Coffee Roasters
Founded in August 2012 by husband-and-wife team Will and Kathleen Pratt, who met as baristas and later worked at Blue Bottle before cycling through Portland on a tandem bicycle and falling in love with the city. Their original cafe and roastery occupies a 1930s brick building that was once the office of a Portland metal yard. In 2014, they opened a second location -- a bakery cafe in a converted 1960s gas station on Congress Street.
