Karumandi Washing Station, Baragwi Cooperative, Nyeri

Approximately 1,700 smallholder producers contribute to the Karumandi washing station, managed by the Baragwi Cooperative Society. Cherries are immediately sorted, pulped, dry-fermented for 24 hours, washed with fresh Mt. Kenya river water, soaked 6 more hours, then dried on raised beds. A lush cup of honey, sparkling peach, and sweet cranberry.
