About Ipsento Coffee
Originally opened in 2006 in Bucktown on Chicago's Milwaukee Avenue specialty coffee corridor. Tim and Mandi Taylor took ownership in 2009 and expanded. The name derives from Latin: 'ipse' (self) and 'sentio' (to discover). A $130,000 crowdfunding round on Bolstr was raised in less than 2 hours to fund their new 1,800-square-foot location. All coffee is craft-roasted in-shop.
Sourcing & Philosophy
Relationally sourced coffees with farm visits, roasted in-house a few days a week. Committed to sustainability and transparency throughout the supply chain.
