About Dune Coffee Roasters

Julia Mayer and Todd Stewart opened The French Press on State St in Santa Barbara in 2009 after being laid off during the economic downturn. A few years later they brought roasting in-house under the Dune Coffee Roasters name, fully rebranding in 2016. They took second place at the US Barista Championship in 2018 and 2020.

Sourcing & Philosophy

Married co-founders Julia and Todd travel the globe building meaningful farmer relationships. They source directly from producers across Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Panama, and Honduras, prioritizing quality and long-term partnerships.
