About Equator Coffees

In 1995, Helen Russell and Brooke McDonnell, partners in life and business, started roasting coffee in a garage in Marin County, California. They became the first California coffee roaster to earn both Fair Trade and B Corporation certifications. Today Equator operates twelve neighborhood cafes and a roastery in San Rafael.
